November 11, 2008 | Leave a Comment
For those who are curious to hear about high-end escort work from escorts in their own words, you can tune in tonight at 10pm to watch The Business of High-End Prostitution.
Yours truly is there as well. The entire show should be of interest.

I will be presenting at the Desiree Alliance Conference this year. I will give my privacy presentation in a greatly condensed format.
And, of course, the conference is just a wonderful thing to attend if you’re a sex worker. Registration ends July 10. Sign up and meet me in Chicago!
On Playboy Radio!
December 11, 2007 | Leave a Comment
I’m very excited to be on Tiffany Granath’s “Afternoon Advice” show on Playboy Radio this Friday. I’ve listened to that show for over a year now (in bits and pieces) and have been too shy to try being a guest. But I’m working with somone who’s helping me get over that.
Should be an interesting and sexy discussion!
The Details
- Who: Tiffany Granath
- What: “Afternoon Advice”
- When: Friday, 12/14/07, 1pm PST (for about 30 minutes)
- Where: Playboy Radio, Sirius Channel 198
- Online: Playboy Radio
- Call In: (877) 205-9796
Although Sirius has a free trial subscription, apparently only paid subscribers can listen to Playboy Radio. (And I’ve been told that copies of the show will not be available.)
This is my last radio spot planned until January — unless something comes up between now and then.
On the air with Sex Talk!
November 30, 2007 | Leave a Comment
This Sunday night, 12/2/07, I’m going to be on-air with Bob and Andrea of Sex Talk – a weekly 2hr radio show out of Bowling Green, Ohio (I think it’s a college radio station). It won’t be a straight two hours of me talking; the show is interspersed with news and bits of local interest. The show encourages call-ins and since Andrea is a sex educator and professional counselor, I’m pretty sure there will be plenty of advice-type questions.
The show seems like it’s going to be rather open-format, so listen in. You never know what might come up! And if you think it’s boring, well, call in and stir it up!
The Details
- Who: Bob and Andrea Adams-Miller, along with RJ and Dara
- When: 12/2/07, 10-12pm EST
- Tune In: 88.1 FM in the Bowling Green and surrounding areas
- Online: listen directly via QuickTime or link to a 3rd-party media player
- Call In: 1-888-7-WBGUFM Andrea told me they can get 3-6 callers on the air at the same time
Just for Fun
New Online Interview!
October 29, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Writer Jen Burke has posted part 1 of a two-part interview with me on TheNervousBreakdown.com. She’s interested in the intersection of sex, law, politics and culture. The most important topic we discussed is the mainstreaming of sex work. Now that I think of it, I should’ve brought up the sheer resistance the UK has had to the TV version of Belle de Jour’s book. Oh well.
She asked a few more questions that I’ve really wanted to answer, especially in part II. I’ll post here when it’s up.
And check out her book on Amazon — A Life Less Convenient: Letters To My Ex. Not only is she a good writer, but she really has an incredible story to tell.
Interview by Gwen Masters

Well-known erotica writer Gwen Masters interviewed me in tandem with her book review of Book 1: The Foundation. She asked interesting questions that required thoughtful replies, not the glib responses I’ve given before (because these weren’t the usual questions).
Read the full interview (and book review) on her blog. Make comments! Link to it! I’m thrilled with the results.
And if you’re want some steamy reading, take a look at Gwen’s site.
Presentations at Desiree Alliance 2007 Conference
July 10, 2007 | Leave a Comment
I will be attending and presenting at the 2007 Desiree Alliance Conference in San Francisco next week. (Here’s the schedule with link to the speaker list.) I’m nervous and excited. This is a first for me.
Some parts of the conference are open to the general public, some are not. So if you’re curious and in the area, you might contact them about attending, even if you’re not involved in any part of the adult industry.
I will be presenting on privacy for escorts, issues of retirement and a general look at the Internet. Continue reading this post for briefs. The escort privacy speech is not open to the general public; the other two are.
The Conference is part of a week-long Sex Worker Fest. I’ll attend various events from July 17-21, so if you’d like to meet me – you can.
And, if case you haven’t seen, I’m offering a book discount next week. Details…
Live Libertarian Interview!
April 30, 2007 | Leave a Comment
This is short notice, but I will be interviewed Tuesday night on Libertarian Politics Live, an Internet radio show. The show starts at 7:30pm CST (double-check with the site). You can listen live at: www.blogtalkradio.com/libertarian or download the show later from the same site. The call-in number for the show is: (646)915-9887.
The show is a full hour (that sounds familiar!) and we will be discussing the DC Madam scandal, as well as the essentially victimless crime of consensual adult activity – paid or unpaid. And anything else that sounds interesting.
For some background on host Eric Dondero, you can visit his main site:
www.mainstreamlibertarian.com.
It should be an interesting show and I’m looking forward to it.
UPDATE: You can access the full hour online at the Libertarian Radio spot, or download the MP3 file from the site.
Enjoy me and my Texas accent as I discuss some personal issues with host Johnny Ringo (Eric was not available), a little about the DC Madam and have a short debate with Andre near the end of the show.
First Radio Interview with The Scarlot Harlot
February 8, 2007 | Leave a Comment
My first-ever radio interview will be this Saturday on San Francisco station 88.9FM from 2-3pm. Renowned sex worker activist Carol Leigh (aka The Scarlot Harlot) will interview me about my book, The Internet Escort’s Handbook Book 1: The Foundation, and then we will have an in-studio discussion with several other sex workers. (She hasn’t told me who they are.)
If you’re going to be in the Bay Area, try to tune in!
I will post a recording of the interview if and when it’s available.
UPDATE: The MP3 file is finally up and ready to listen. It’s a big one and I’m buried in the middle, but the whole show was great and is worth the listen. Go over to the Neighborhood Public Radio blog and enjoy! (update posted 5/8/07)
