Amanda Brooks is one of those rare people who have always been drawn to the adult industry. She was in her last year of college when she decided to enter the industry by cocktailing at a top Dallas gentleman's club. During summer break, six months later, she advanced to stripping. She danced for the next four years; working her way around the major clubs in Dallas and Las Vegas. At 26, still curious, she placed an escort ad online for a weekend. That experiment was a success so she put away her heels and began building her business as an independent escort. Although based in Dallas, she worked in over 15 major cities during her escort career. She retired from escort work just shy of 29 and began working on a book for escorts.
The Internet Escort's Handbook series are her first books, with active plans to produce more work, some of it related to the adult industry, some not.
The idea for The Internet Escort's Handbook was born only a few months after she began escort work. The general lack of reliable information and the complete lack of all necessary information in one resource led her to feel that there was a need for an escort's handbook. Her, and others', experiences in the business showed her that such a reference guide was essential to an escort's safety and well-being, both personally and professionally. A native Texan, Amanda has traveled all over the U.S. and internationally for business and pleasure. She holds a Bachelor's Degree with a double-major in photography and English.
